Birds Sheltered in a Burned Tree - Minutes before sundown, these birds took shelter in a burned tree, and moved very little, allowing for a 4-second exposure in failing light. Photographed February, 2004.
Mirror Lake and Half Dome - Half Dome rises above the waters of Mirror Lake. Photographed February, 2004.
Frozen Bush at Dawn - Frost tendrils form on cow parsnip (Heracleum lanatum) plants in Cook's Meadow, Yosemite Valley, but evaporate soon after sunrise. Photographed February, 2004.
Fern Springs at Sunset - The rays of the setting sun are reflected in Fern springs, a tiny natural spring tucked away in a corner of Yosemite Valley. Photographed February 10, 2006.
Vernal Falls in Early Autumn - Vernal Falls is reduced to a trickle in late summer and early fall. Photographed September, 2001.
Symmetric Reflection of Mount Watkins in Mirror Lake - Mt. Watkins and the slopes of Half Dome are reflected in Mirror Lake. Photographed February 10, 2006.
