Wavy aurora stretch from north to south near Selfoss, Iceland. Photographed March 2018.
Though the beacons of civilization shone not too far away, the sirocco that blew across the tableland only carried the sounds of silence. Not even insects dared to intrude upon our solitude as we beheld the reflection of sky upon rock, first at sunset, then by the light of countless stars. You remain unchanged, as do the stars glimpsing your message night after night... Photographed July 2021.
