As the Sun set languidly in the west, it graced the hills with one last brush of ochre and scarlet. To the east, the last full moon of the year stole the show, rising above a shoreline of tide pools and boulders strewn at the whim of the onrushing surf. Photographed December 2020. It's easy to practice social distancing in a state that has an 840-mile coastline, even if glorious weather has brought more than the usual number of your fellow citizens to the beach, safer at home and all... Tucked away in a corner of Malibu, with the high tide coming in, was this scene of the ocean dashing itself relentlessly against the rounded boulders of the coastline.
